Wishes do come true! Back in February, just as the first of our grapes were starting to ripen, I wrote in our member newsletter..."we'd be quite happy if La Nina packed her bags and left right now!". Okay, so she didn't actually leave, but she did stop directing her fury at us! Since then our rainfall has been remarkably average, which was perfect for ripening grapes. And because we'd put in a lot of work to keep our vineyard clean and tidy to stop any disease from starting to grow up until then, the worry of a rot and mildew cursed vintage faded into the delightful reality of somewhat above average yields of excellent quality grapes. Look out for some fabulous 2022 Anderson wines in coming years.
